About Me

Mel: Bellingham, Washington, United States; “The difference between the right word and the almost right word is the difference between lightning and the lightning bug.” ~ Mark Twain ~ I have never thought of myself as a writer; I don’t have the all-encompassing passion for writing that you hear writers speak of. What I do have is a love-hate relationship with writing. Good writing is hard work and when you combine that with how hard it can be to actually put words on paper, the compunction to write is often quelled. However, there are times that I cannot extinguish the fire that drives me to write and typically you will see the result of that here. If you consider the definition of writing to be ‘someone who puts words on paper,’ then I am a writer. So, my purpose in this blog is to provide a forum for me to write. I will not limit what I write about; it will be an outgrowth of my life. Yep, that about covers it. Thanks for dropping by, please feel free to become a follower and leave a comment so I'll know you were here!
